OUR STORY
Founded in 1980 in La Sarre, Abitibi-Ouest, Métal Marquis was born from a family passion for blacksmithing between Mr. Albert Marquis and his four sons.
Since then, Métal Marquis has continued to expand through several infrastructure upgrades and the ongoing acquisition of new, high-performance, and cutting-edge equipment. From just 20 employees in 1987, the company now boasts a team of over 120.
The year 2022 marked the beginning of a new era for the company. After 42 years, the last of the founders passed the torch to a strong and well-prepared new generation, nurtured over the past 15 years. Today, Métal Marquis is led by 15 shareholders, including Patrick Perreault, the new CEO.
Métal Marquis is a multi-specialty workshop designing, manufacturing, and repairing parts and equipment for the mining, forestry, and industrial sectors. We have developed extensive expertise, and our strength lies in offering customized, turnkey solutions.

Our goal is not only to support the industry, but also to partner with mining companies to promote responsible mining practices and protect the environment. We are expanding our horizons and building trusting relationships with First Nations in Canada. These enriching relationships have, to date, led to the creation of the NAGJUK joint venture in Nunavut, the TUUGAAK joint venture in Nunavik, the UTAASHKINH joint venture in Northern Quebec, the MIKWAN joint venture in Northeastern Ontario, and the MIGIZI joint venture in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
